What I Learned from Video 1 of the SEO Mentor Pre-Launch Videos

First of all, since you’re online and your in the network marketing industry, it is imperative that you study SEO (Search Engine Optimization) because it is the one thing that hasn’t gone away since search engines have arrived.

For one, it’s not as hard as people make it seem. And for two, it’s an absolute necessity if your business is online.

So if you’re ready to discover why I’ll be able to out rank you in the most competitive niches even if you have 10 times as many links as me, then you better read the rest of this post.

The SEO Fallacy

What is the SEO Fallacy? The SEO fallacy is the misconception that people have when they think that all they have to do is make sure that they have more back-links than you and they’ll out rank your website. Apparently this is a false statement.

Here’s why…

As a marketer online you are concerned with pleasing two people.

1. Search Engines – Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.

2. End User – Customer

Let’s start with the user first… A user goes through a series of simple processes to reach your website. The first thing that happens is that the user has a problem. They go to the internet, or the search engines to search for an answer. They’ll enter in their search terms, which are what we know as keywords, into the search engine.

At this point they’ll pull up a set of websites. The user will expect a relevant answer on those sites. And if they’ve entered in buyer specific keywords, they’ll be making a decision on which website they’ll want to purchase from. If they choose you, then you’ve won the battle of first page relevancy on the search engines.

The second point I’d like to make is that you have to please the search engines, namely Google. You have to convince the Google robots that your website should always come up first if some one types in your target keywords.

Note: Google’s #1 Objective is to END SEARCH ==> This means that they want you to find what you’re looking for in as little searches as possible and have your answer within the top 3 web page listings on any given search.

So what’s the big secret?

One of the most important aspects of SEO is how relevant your content is. If you have relevant content, you will create SEO leverage. But relevant content isn’t just the only aspect that you need to have to dominate the search engines. You need to have the proper ON PAGE SEO.

Here’s how the typical online marketer works:

1. Research keywords

2. Create content

3. Distribute content

4. Link back to money site

5. Repeat 100 times

Result: Page 1 Rank 10

Here’s how the expert online marketer works:

1. Research keywords

2. Create content

3. Maximize ON PAGE SEO

4. Distribute content

5. Repeat much less than <100 times

Result: Page 1 Rank 1

So as you can see the secret is not in how many back links you can generate to your website. It’s actually how relevant your website is to the search terms, or keywords, that the end user is entering into the search engine. The only way to get noticed on the search engines is obviously off page SEO, but the secret. Oh the secret my friends is actually ON PAGE SEO.

So what the heck does this have to do with Network Marketing?

As a online network marketer, I know that I have a money site creation project that I’m working on that’s specific to my Network Marketing opportunity. If you’re an internet marketer, then you know that you need your money site to rank for every possible search term that could signify that someone wants to sign up in your Network Marketing opportunity.

Think about it. 100,000 searches a month on a keyword search term that signifies someone wants to buy or sign up with you. That’s 100,000 people that you can leverage for the time and money freedom that you deserve.
