What is Motivation?
I was just catching up on some back training from MLSP. If you’re an online marketer and you’re new, it is worth your while to check it out.
Anyways…. Jeffery Combs was on the webinar and he made a point that really resonated with me. He mentioned that there IS a difference between motivation and inspiration.
You see, motivation is something that gets you going because of some kind of incentive. Like going to work because you’re going to get paid.
You’re motivated because you don’t want to lose your house. You’re motivated because you have to pay your car payment. You’re motivated because you have credit card bills. You’re motivated because you don’t want to get fired.
So what does that do to us mentally? It makes us WORK. Work isn’t fun unless you’re getting paid for doing your hobby.
How many of us have hobbies for jobs? Anyone?

But seriously, inspiration is defined as the quality or state of being. This means that when you’re inspired your “state of being” is dramatically altered. When someone is inspired, they change.
They transform before your eyes. They do things that seem superhuman and sometimes against what might be popular. Great things happen when people are inspired.
But the purpose of this post is to make sure you know the difference between inspiration and motivation. Inspiration will keep you moving forward when you are at your lowest point. When sh*t hits the fan and you’ve got nothing left.
You keep your vision alive in your mind, you tell the naysayers to go to hell! And you brush yourself off and you rise from the ashes.
Inspiration is an ideal that you create in your mind that paints a picture of success that NO ONE can take from you!!
Inspiration is what you feel deep in your soul when you want something so bad that you’re willing to do anything to get to your goal.
Inspiration is how you feel after you see this video.
Motivation is how you feel when you see this.
Motivated to GET OUT OF THE WAY!!
