Well, I put this blog up because I wanted to provide some original, valuable content to the network marketing community. And frankly, this is entirely more overwhelming than I thought it was going to be!! I mean I don’t even know where to begin sometimes.
But here’s the thing. I knew that I could do online marketing because of one thing. I BELIEVE in what I can accomplish and as long as I have a PLAN, I know that this is all going to work out because I PLAN to SUCCEED. So what do you need to do to succeed in network marketing?
You need to have the right mindset. Your mindset is extremely important when you get to a rough patch. I’ve been researching keywords for the last couple of hours and I feel like I’ve hit a dead end. But I still feel great. So what’s the secret? POSITIVE ATTITUDE. Having a positive attitude is contagious like the Swine Flu. (Too early? Sorry)
Next time you lose a prospect. Think of three things positive about your situation. SAY THEM OUT LOUD. Then make your next phone call. Do this with consistency and I promise you’ll feel something change. Do this throughout your day whenever something negative happens. I promise you’ll feel good and then after awhile you’ll feel GREAT.
More about mindset. On February 23, 1945 during the battle of Iwo Jima the Americans that were attempting to take over the island were fighting for their lives. They were dying with every step. From many accounts the Americans were losing the war. Tanks were getting stuck in volcanic ash. Mortar shells were falling every couple of feet killing many people at once. Fathers and sons dying on foreign soil thousands of miles away from home.
It was purely hell on Earth.
But there was a turning point in the war for the Americans and it could be characterized in one famous image.
Raising the Flag at Iwo Jima
Imagine thinking that every second could be your last. That you just witnessed violent deaths and mayhem all around you. Just when you feel like it might all be over, you look up and see your Flag! Suddenly, you get the urge to continue on. The urge that you realize that quitting is not an option. That success is only as much as you make of it. You realize that there are things that are more important than yourself. Your family. Your friends.
The mind is so powerful. We don’t even understand what we’re fully capable of until we put ourselves in tough situations. Network marketing is easy. If you make it easy. Be successful by changing your mindset. Stay positive in the toughest of situations. Its like the old saying, what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger.
I’m overwhelmed. But I have a positive attitude. I know what I’m doing because I have a plan. I’m executing my plan just like the Americans did at Iwo Jima. Even though they thought that they felt like they were losing the battle they saw their flag. Their positivity and hope. That’s what’ll get me through the tough times.
Don’t take today for granted. Wars were fought for freedom. Take advantage of that.
