As many of America’s working class begins to turn 65 years old, they are beginning to retire. A Harvard study focused on individuals 65 years old or older and reported the following facts.
- 54% are dependant
- 35% are working
- 6% are dead
- 4% are financially stable
- ONLY 1% ARE WEALTHY
Wealthy 1% Might As Well Be Network Marketers
This Harvard study did some more analysis on this small percentage of weathy individuals and here’s what they found out:
- 1% inherited their wealth or are entertainers.
- 5% are sales persons
- 10% are Chief Executive Officiers
- 10% are doctors or lawyers
So what about the other 74%?
These people are business owners. Funny how that works out huh? If you add the sales people and the business owners together you get 79% of the wealthy. Aren’t network marketers both?
Over the last several decades, it made sense to go to school and get a job. Don’t get me wrong, I do value education and the stability of a job, but if you take a look at the facts, you can see that not a lot of people with “regular” jobs are even rich.
95% of people 65 or older are dependant, working or dead.
So what does that mean? It means that there are people that may not be retired because they are dependant on a job, the goverment or family members. It means that there are a lot of people in a place they never wanted to be or were never taught how to avoid. At 65 do you want to be working? Living with your kids? Or Dead? Well that I can’t help you with but we’ve got to know where we’re going if we want to get there.
We have no excuses for not becoming successful. Today is a day that we have access to what ever we want. Anything we desire we can have. We can make something out of nothing.
In school, we were never taught how to start our own businesses. Even in business school, they don’t teach you how to start your own business. You’re taught how businesses run, but never how to start one and how to rise to success with every failure.
74% of the wealthy are business owners and 5% are sales people. Noodle on that for a bit. What does network marketing offer? A business AND an opportunity for sales. That’s powerful. Low financial risk. (If you’re responsible). High, limitless rewards.
We’ve got to make sure that these kinds of studies brought to the forefront of education. We need to make sure that the education that we need to survive is taught. I hope you learn from the 1% of the wealthy. I know I am.
