Learning a Network Marketing System Wasn’t That Easy… Until Now

I woke up one morning and it was like magic. I popped out of bed. I had a little pep in my step. And I absolutely felt like I was a new man. A man that was going to make millions of dollars online and I was going to do it in no longer than a month.

I went to my regular J-O-B staring at all of the executives and I thought to myself, “HA! With all that ambition and drive to get yourself to the top of the company, if only you took MY knowledge and YOUR work ethic and worked for yourself, you’d be a millionaire right now”. I said this to myself because I knew that I had stumbled upon something great something that THEY would NEVER do.

Something so powerful, so profound that I would never be the same.

What was it?

A Network Marketing System

Before I continue I’d like to say that making money online is hard work. Learning new skills is hard work. If you put in the time and the effort to build your brand people will see you as a leader and things will get easier.

The Difference Between Internet Marketing and Online Network Marketing

What is internet marketing? Simply put, internet marketing is the activity that drives internet traffic to a company created website where their customers can purchase a product or service. Sales are made when the internet traffic sees a need on the website and purchases it. (Obviously this is really, really simplified.)

What is online network marketing? Well, it’s where distributors recruit other people as distributors by connecting with them online by driving them to their company replicated website. Sales are made as more and more distributors are recruited.

However….these definitions are now merging together. Allow me to elaborate….

It’s now 2010 and information exchanges hands at the click of a button. Professional internet marketers are doing network marketing and professional network marketers are doing internet marketing.

The difference used to be that an internet marketer stuck with their SEO niche and the network marketer stuck to their health and wellness products. But that is quickly changing because of the internet and the speed of technology.

So what does this have to do with a network marketing system you say??

This merger of two seemingly different industries has created OPPORTUNITY. This was the birth of online network marketing systems. Here’s what I’ve discovered as an effective network marketing system.

Must Haves for a Professional Network Marketing System

#1 – A Business Plan

To make a business plan you could read a bunch of books, go to college and do it yourself. OR. You can just contact me by entering your information below and I can walk you through some good resources. I did read books and I did go to college, plus I’ve been working as an accountant in corporate America.

This business plan will tell you right away whether or not you can succeed in network marketing especially network marketing online.

Development Plan
Financial Plan

#2 – Lead Capture Page

No online network marketer is without one. PERIOD. The importance of capturing the information from someone that visits your website can’t be stressed enough.

There are so many people and websites on the internet that your prospect will actually never come back after they see your site once. But the funny thing is, is that there’s billions of other people that are ready to discover your site. So don’t freak out.

A lead capture page does one thing. It collects contact information. That’s it.

This “rolodex” that you’re building will be the single most important piece of your business. This “list” is an asset. An asset is what the rich collect. An asset creates cash flow. Your list will give you financial freedom. Don’t ever abuse, neglect or take advantage of your list (negatively of course).

#3 – Autoresponder

This is your gateway into the lives of the people on your list. You will be able to create a predetermined sequence of messages that your list will see.

By doing this you develop a relationship with your list. The will begin to know, like and trust you. This is another critical piece of a network marketing system.

Because when someone knows, likes and trusts you, they will join you in your network marketing opportunity.

The point of the autoresponder is to keep a relationship going with your list. You need to stay in the forefront of their minds.

#4 – Company Replicated Website

When you sign up for your network marketing opportunity, they might already have a network marketing system. If they do, they should be fully online and understand the power of online marketing. If not, RUN AWAY, FAR AWAY.

So here’s where most people screw up their network marketing system….

They start at #4.

This is sooooo not good. For example, “Hi mom, I’m doing this pyramid thingy. Here’s the address to my company replicated website. Please, please, please sign up. How bout you just give me your credit card and I’ll just sign you up”

Rule of thumb here is that you need to have developed at minimum rapport with your prospect BEFORE you send them to a company replicated website. Remember, no one likes to be sold, but they do like to buy.

#5 – Personal Blog

This is where people will get to know you though all of the good stuff you have to offer.

If you have gold nuggets of wisdom, this is where you’ll share it. Believe me if you give people the best advice they’ve ever gotten, then they’ll come back for more. Your network marketing system will depend on high quality training and this is the absolute best place to showcase your leadership skills.

Your blog should have one focus. Too many people make the mistake of having a million different topics going on. This is bad for the internet because people get confused as to what the heck it is that you’re talking about.

I recommend using a theme that allows very little clutter and allows high customization.
