5Linx an MLM Company that Stands Alone

5Linx is VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) company. In layman’s terms, you can call people using your internet line instead of a phone line.

The telecommunications industry has grown to over $400 billion and 5Linx has capitalized on this as evidenced by being recognized as one of Inc. magazine’s 500 fastest growing companies.

It is safe to say that 5Linx is definitely not a scam.

Craig Jerabeck is the founder and CEO of 5Linx and his work experience consists of also founding a telecommunications company called @Wireless Enterprises which grew to 78 stores.

Which is pretty modest considering how large 5Linx claims to be at this point. Just check out the Inc. Magazine profile on them.

Craig Jerabeck remains fairly anonymous when you search for him on the internet. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. Being a company that depends on the internet itself, you would expect the CEO to do a better job of creating a web presence online. It doesn’t take much to hire a good PR team to own the first 10 spots on Google for your name.

It’s a good thing that they have independent reps promoting the company because the 5Linx website does not do a very good job at really selling the success of each leader.

If I didn’t have contact with one of the top earners, in the company I would have said 5Linx doesn’t have a chance. But the fact, is that this company is doing well and has grown 831% since 2005.

5Linx Products and Services

5LINX Enterprises offers a variety of wireless phones, wireless plans, a multitude of accessories, satellite television services, VoIP, and broadband Internet services to both residential and business customers.

Since I’m not a customer of 5Linx, I cannot really say whether or not the service is good or great. I can say that there are not a lot of MLM based companies that offer telecommunication related services or products.

What I can say is that they have very high profile business partners in order to offer these services and products . This does tell me that their products and services have to be affordable. You can find out more about their products here.

Well, “You can’t Get Fired”

It is your basic unilevel compensation plan. As an Independent Marketing Representative (IMR), you can earn a $1,000 bonus for recruiting 3 qualified IMR’s who generate 20 customer points.

Customer points are defined as individual services. So I might by a phone, a wireless plan and security system. Which is more than just one point.

This fast start bonus is great because you’ve got to invest $499 to be a MLM’er. On the other hand, if you join for $99, you are literally just a sales rep.

You can also earn various leadership bonuses for the progression of your team and monthly profit sharing bonus pools.

The best part about the 5Linx compensation plan is when you reach the highest rank of Platinum Vice President. You’ll get a Bentley car payment, annual vacation, stock options, expense account and a percentage of the company’s TOTAL production ($45.7M in 2008).

So how much do you make? Well 5Linx pays out $4 from every $29.95/month customer. You only get a percentage of that. This percentage is based on your ranking. The reality here is that first and foremost, the service/product needs to be sold. Period.

Second, the money is made in the duplication. You’ll only really start making some cash if you recruit, train and duplicate your success. There was nothing worth noting regarding training and support that you haven’t already seen.

They offer a 5Linx University, replicated websites, corporate meetings and of course materials to walk the walk.

Why I Didn’t Join 5Linx

It’s not because of the product or service, it’s not because of the leadership, it’s not because I didn’t find a good sponsor and it’s not because of the compensation plan and not the MLM business itself. This is a PHENOMENAL opportunity, but it’s just not for me. Just take a look at some of their leaders.

The 5Linx Opportunity website promotes a $200/month residual income.  At least they’re keepin’ it real. On average network marketers sponsor 2.5 people TOTAL.

So $200 a month still means that you’d have to sell a lot of services to get to $200 in residual, if you’re getting only .16 cents on the dollar per subscription. How long is that going to take to get to a six figure income?

Well I didn’t join because I have a full cycle marketing system that allows me to make money from prospects even if they never join my business. I know that I can make far more than $200 month with my marketing efforts AND sponsor people on autopilot.

Make no mistake here, if you’re thinking about 5Linx or if you’re already in 5Linx, you’re going to need to market yourself AND the company. I spoke with a SVP of the company and he generates 1,000’s of leads a month and makes a multiple 5 figure monthly income.

What did that take? He’s a master marketer in the offline network marketing world. In order for you to achieve the same results, you need to learn how to become a master at marketing, recruiting and training. You need a COMPLETE system will duplicate the results FOR YOU.

EvolvHealth - Just Water?

EvolvHealth is another business creation by billionaire founder Trey White. This time he’s taking on the network marketing industry.

This MLM review on EvolvHealth, LLC. aims to give you a non-biased perspective on the viability of this company and no, EvolvHealth is not a scam. We’ll look at the leadership, its compensation plan, distributor support and the Evolv flagship product Archaea Active.

Who’s Part of the Leadership Team at EvolvHealth?

The leadership team at EvolvHealth is lead by Founder/Chairman Trey White.  If you’re looking for a leader with a track record of building successful businesses, this is definitely someone you want on your team.

Back in 1992 he co-founded NewHomeSeach, which is an electronic real estate listing service which really took hold during the internet boom.

Trey White also founded White Energy which according to the website is the, “most dominant producer of ethanol in the state of Texas and is positioned among the top ethanol producers in the United States”. If there’s someone that knows about positioning it has to be Trey White.

This company isn’t small potatoes, so I don’t expect Evolv to be either. You definitely need to check out Evolv’s full profile on White to see how much he really has accomplished in business and as a leader.

What about the rest of the leadership team?

Dr. Anne Bodak Smith – VP of Sales, who has an excellent educational background and had achieved the highest rank in her network marketing opportunity at the age of 30.

Justin White – CIO, was also on White’s previous companies, so clearly he has trust in him to manage the information systems at Evolv.

Jonathan Gilliam – CMO, has a wide range of experience that he brings to Evolv. It is worth noting that he also was a CEO of his own company and continues to be an authority regarding secure internet encryption.

Brent Hicks – CEO, has a background in automation and system refinement in the Real Estate industry. This I see as a strength as Evolv is focused on becoming the next billion dollar health and wellness direct sales industry because duplication is dependent on autonomy. What better way to get that then building systems and automation.

EvolvHealth’s basic compensation structure is a binary compensation plan. Simplified, this just means that you have two legs or two sponsors. At first glance, this compensation plan is incredibly confusing and even with the documentation; they even have a tutorial about how you’re going to get paid on their EvolvHealth blog. Good luck in figuring out if your commission check is short.

EvolvHealth has 10 ways to make money, which are Retail Sales, Business Builder Bonuses, Fast Start Bonuses, Weekly Binary Volume Commission, Personal Check Match Bonus, Executive Check Match Bonus, Rank Advancement Bonus, Matching Executive Director Bonus, EvolvDNA Coded Bonus and the Benz and Bentley Bonus.

What makes this compensation plan unique is the EvolvDNA Coded Bonus. This is just a cool way of saying that at every “leadership” level that you advance to, you will be given a percentage of commission on your downline.

How this works is that as you advance, every single person in your downline is tagged with your “DNA” code and you will make a percentage of their sales volume. The twist is that your code is tagged to every single person that comes in underneath you.

I sponsor you, you sponsor him, he sponsors her, she sponsors, etc. “GET IN ON THE GROUND FLOOR” is what this is telling you.

It’s basically water with healthy ingredients added to it. The ingredients found in EvolvHealth’s Archaea Active are water, of course, Alfalfa, Bromelain, Papain, Protease, Amylase, Lipase, Lactase, Cellulase and Milk Whey.

I’m not going to deny that any of these ingredients isn’t a healthy addition to any burger and french fry diet. You must live a healthy lifestyle and this product can help you achieve that.

So what makes Archaea Active different from regular tap water? The ingredients increase the utilization of oxygen. This is important to the body because oxygen is a necessary component to recovery and growth at the cellular level.

Will EvolvHealth Leave You Hanging?

For an EXTRA $29.95/month EvolvHealth offers a company replicated website (Who doesn’t). This also gets you a view of your genealogy chart, online training materials, access to EvolvLive (motivational speakers, how to build a business) and media (text, video, images).

There’s nothing here that has me jumping out of my seat to join because of the support they might give me. They didn’t do a good job of selling the training on the website and that’s not a good thing. Most people will fail in network marketing and this company is not immune to that.

Support is CRITICAL to the success of your downline. If the company doesn’t support you, you will need to find other means of support. I can tell you right now, that great leadership and product will not make up for a lack of training and support.

This company is so new that it’s hard to say whether White and co. will be able to give the reps what they need. You’ll have to get in on the inside to find out if Evolv is teaching true marketing techniques. Like how to advertise and brand yourself as a leader, even if you’ve never sponsored a single person.

Guess what most people will only sponsor 1 to 2 people EVER. Does Evolv teach their reps how to connect with people offline so that they don’t alienate themselves from their friends and family?

True support for success in EvolvHealth will be extensive marketing training.

Where to post your fliers offline, where to advertise online, how to prospect, how to recruit, how to handle objections, where to find prospects, what to say to prospects, how to promote yourself as a leader, how to brand yourself, how to do article marketing for visibility, how to present the opportunity to the most people, how to present the opportunity automatically, and many other critical marketing factors are important.

Would I Join EvolvHealth?

No I wouldn’t. Why? Because the value of the product does not convey superiority. I understand the health benefits, but marketing a water product as an MLM opportunity is going to be disgustingly difficult.

Yes it’s something that everyone needs and yes the leadership team is solid, but many people fail at marketing and there is nothing that tells me that Dr. Smith will be able to transfer her success to the distributors.

It will be interesting to see where this company stands in 2011 after the milestone 2 year mark.
